Matthew Moore was born in England and raised in New Zealand. Matthew took to the stage performing with bands after playing for only a few months. Matthew also studied drums with well known jazz and rock players around Auckland. Playing the NZ music scene for eight years in studios, pubs and clubs, Matthew gained valuable skills in performing.

In 1998 Matthew took off for Chicago, USA, and it didn't take long before he was playing and recording with different bands around town. It was at recording studios in Chicago where Matthew started to learn and take an interest in writing music, production and producing. After playing blues, jazz, rock, theater and big band for three and a half years, Matthew decided to head to Los Angeles.

Upon arrival Matthew headed straight for the Los Angeles Music Academy where he studied and graduated in 2003. At the same time he started playing and recording with bands around LA covering various musical styles. Being a versatile drummer Matthew continues to work with various bands and solo artists on stage and in the recording studio.

In 2004 out of love for recording and producing Matthew along with his brother Tim started Greenstone Studios a full production studio. Producing records and helping artists reach their artistic goals is something Matthew has a passion for. Playing drums, writing music and producing keeps Matthew busy but he enjoys the life of a musician and the constant need to be learning and developing.
